blue skies and jazz
because life is so much better with both

Chet Baker

the one.  the only.

Very few would question why life is better with either blue skies or jazz - and even fewer would wonder that with both, life could be anything short of spectacular.

And yet, some do.  We recommend discarding their opinion.

The question remains however as to whether Life -  that precious thing that philosophers far smarter than we have pondered for millenia (often with more questions than answers) - can be even more spectacular when both blue skies and jazz enjoy the spotlight?

I submit to you, Gentle Reader, that it can be, if that jazz consists of Chesney Henry Baker, Jr - better known as Chet Baker - accompanied by the formidable Bill Evans - playing You and the Night and the Music or Born to Be Blue.

If after the blue skies have passed and, later in the evening, either deep in contemplation with your drink of choice, or exchanging with your lady friend or gentleman lover, you're not drawn into the beauty that is Chet's trumpet, your soul is indeed black.

And if that is the case, there is nothing more we can do for you; your time here, Gentle Reader, will have come to an end.

And, in the eternal words of Brassens, I bid you adieu with the following
 thoughts...
